Electronic Funds Transfer

What is Electronic Funds Transfer?

It is a means of having your bank automatically deduct your monthly telecom payment from your checking account or savings account. Your payments will be applied directly to your bill. It is the fastest, most convenient way to take the hassle out of paying your monthly telecom bill.

What are the benefits?

Having EFT is the easiest way to make your telecom payments. You’ll save time, and never again have to remember to write a check every month. You will know that your payments will always be on time.

How do I get started?

It’s easy…just complete the Enrollment Form that is part of this brochure. Send a blank check on which you have written “VOID” and attach it to the Enrollment Form. Send this to that address provided on the bottom of the form. Your banking information will be kept confidential.

When will my bank account be debited?

Smart City will debit your account on the existing payment due date which is the 15th of the month.

What if I change my mind and want to cancel the service?

Contact Smart City at 407-828-6800. Suspension of your electronic account near your payment due date will result in the cancellation taking effect the following month. Terminating your electronic debit account means you will be responsible for mailing your monthly payments. Regular administrative fees will apply to all past due accounts.

What if my funds are not available?

Insufficient funds on electronic debits are treated as an in-sufficient funds check. Smart City will remove you from electronic debit when we have received two (2) insufficient funds notices. A $38 in-sufficient funds fee will be applied to your account for each occurrence.

How much will EFT cost?

There are no fees associated with having EFT. In fact, using electronic payment means you save on postage every month.
